Techniques

I use these modalities on their own or together for your individual needs

  • Swedish

Using a hydrating lotion with methods to promote relaxation and increase blood circulation. The general feel good, relaxing and rejuvenating massage. Go on a special journey to other planets :)

  • Sports

  • Medical

Goal oriented work to attend to specific ailments and chronic conditions (i.e. Frozen Shoulder, Tendonitis, Sciatica, Headache) I am certified in Medical Massage

  • Reflexology

The theory here is that the areas of the foot correspond to organs and systems of the body. Pressure is applied to the foot to stimulate these nerve endings

  • Deep Tissue

By applying firm pressure (of different tolerance levels) and accessing the deeper levels of muscle tissue we can reduce chronic aches and pain and adhesions (abnormally tight bands of muscle)

  • Myofascial

Working specifically with the connective tissue (fascia) to release the tightness that causes muscle restriction, using sustained pressure to lengthen and detangle the fascia

  • Trigger Point

A trigger point is nodule in a tight band of muscle which produces pain when compressed. Many of these refer pain to other areas of the body. By releasing these with pin pointed pressure we can release the spasms

  • Prenatal

Having intensive training and over 15 years of practice, I've massaged women through their 1st, 2nd and even 3rd pregnancies. I use special positioning and cushions and use specific techniques to bring relief from all the changes in a pregnant body. I am certified in Prenatal Massage :)

  • Aromatherapy

    Aroma Touch Technique

Using 8 essential oils - made up of herbs, grass, citrus, mint, spice, tree and florals - all sorted into 4 categories:

Relaxing Supporting Soothing and Invigorating for overall homeostasis in the body. Very light relaxing strokes will trigger the most instantaneous release of oxytocin~ the love or hug hormone.

I am certified in the Doterra Aroma Touch Technique.

  • Cupping

Cupping therapy involves placing cups on the body for 10-15 minutes and has been used for thousands of years in Ancient Chinese and Egyptian medicine. It is said to help alleviate may conditions such as pain relief (back pain, knee pain, neck pain and headaches caused by tension), muscle relaxation and congestion and break up scar tissue.

Many people have seen the circular red marks left on he body which will disappear and absolve between a few days to a week or more. These marks will not be painful!
